I Have A Mixed Marriage!

August 19, 2012
It's true! Take a look! Do you remember Kim's post at Savvy Southern Style titled "Sunday Supper"? Kim's post featured their supper table on ordinary nights, when there were just the two of them. Her post gave me the idea to show you our kitchen table on an ordinary evening... First a little history... When I was growing up my family was a "Corelle family". My Grandma A, my Mom, and my Aunt all had Corelle. In 1976, I joined the family with my set of Corelle, and I think my cousins also got a set. I'm not 100% sure but I think most of us had the green flowered "Spring Blossom" pattern. Setting a Breakfast Table to Crow About

August 09, 2012
This is the very first tablescape that I have posted to my blog. This new find for $4 at the consignment shop will be part of the centerpiece. Do you know what this is? It's made in Italy and is a vintage Progressus French Fry Cutter. I am setting the table for a special breakfast. My place settings will be Fiesta Scarlet dinner size plates and coffee mugs, Wexford pressed glass small goblets for juice, and white cloth napkins folded in a basic silverware pouch. My tablecloth is vintage, round and hand crocheted. My centerpiece includes a set of vintage figural tomato salt and pepper shakers, two vintage rooster figurines, made in Japan, a Bromwell flour sifter with red wooden knob, the french fry cutter and a faux plant. This is my round kitchen table set for breakfast for four! "
