Hobby Lobby Felt Easter Egg Banner Makeover

March 29, 2022
I found this felt Easter egg banner at Hobby Lobby. The thickness of the felt was much better than the Dollar Tree felt bunny banner, but yet again, the colors were just to bright for my taste.

Organized Clutter's Ten Best DIY Projects of 2021

December 29, 2021
These mini  Dollar Tree  boxes were upcycled in early 2021 with paint and Dollar Tree stencils. I actually shared several Dollar Tree/Dollar General upcycle projects in 2021, partially due to the pandemic.  I attended far fewer garage sales and paid less visits to thrift shops as well, but luckily Dollar Tree expanded its craft area.   Click on the bold links under the photos for full DIY tutorials.

Thrifted Perpetual Calendar Repurposed As A Letter Board Bible Verse Sign

April 02, 2021
I found this wooden, perpetual calendar at a Goodwill shop in the Twin Cities.   Hand painted wood pieces for the months, holidays, and weekdays are in the baggie. I just repurposed it for the second time, because the truth being told, the first project was not very popular on my blog or Pinterest.  I couldn't sell it either.

Wooden Dollar General Easter Egg & Bunny Shape Makeovers

March 23, 2021
I found a plain wooden bunny and egg wooden plaque at Dollar General .   Dollar General's cutouts were $2 each and a little thicker than Dollar Tree's . In the photo above small pieces of a 1" x 2" were glued to the back of the plaques with  Titebond Wood Glue .

DIY Farmhouse Spring Decor Ideas and Jar Bead Jewelry

March 08, 2020
This little tart pan and wooden goblet were recent thrift shop finds.  This metal pig was a Christmas tree ornament from Hobby Lobby in 2019. I removed the jute from the hooks on back and drilled a small hole in the top back of the pig.   My aunt gave me several packages of wooden bead in several sizes.  I used 1/2" and 1" for the projects I am sharing.

Easy Easter Or Year Round Wall Decor From Thrift Shop Piece

March 14, 2015
I am not sure of the original use for this board.  I purchased it at the thrift shop for 59 cents.  It has a shiny polyurethane coating so I don't think it was a cutting board.  It also had a leather string.

Button Easter Eggs

February 16, 2014
I have a large stash of old buttons, mostly from my mother. A couple of years ago, I was inspired by photos on Pinterest to make some button Easter eggs.  (Parts of this post first appeared appeared March 11, 2012). I initially planned to try a framed button egg.
