Vintage Decorating In A 1950's Bathroom With Lady Headvases

February 14, 2023
One of my bathrooms still has it's original tile, tub, toilet and sink!   It's definitely not for everyone.  At times I want to renovate it myself and replace the coral wall tiles. Over the last 30 some years, I have decorated my 1950's bathroom with vintage decor including lady head vases.

My Botanical Themed Bedroom With Antiques

September 16, 2022
Last weekend I attended the annual Little Falls (Minnesota) Arts & Craft Fair . It was my very first trip to the craft fair. I purchased the botanical butterfly wall art above at the fair from  Salvage Sisters - A Repurposed Store .  The panoramic style frame contained distressed paper with a bee and several different black butterflies, along with plant sprigs on the sides. The design was most likely created with rubber stamps and ink. The perimeter (mat) of the frame was created with distressed book pages, torn into varied and uneven pieces.

Landscaping Changes And More Spring Junk Gardening

May 19, 2021
This area, just past my deck, was overgrown with groundcovers, like sedum and creeping Jenny.  The area has always been a problem. The previous owners left part of a cracked cement patio there and put a deck over most of it.   What started out as, me planting a few thyme plants in the cracks, became an overgrown groundcover mess with weeds and grass coming up within the clumps of sedums.  Thank goodness my husband helped me on this job! Be sure to check out the links to flowers, stencils and past projects too!

Stenciled Wooden Rolling Pin For A Farmhouse Kitchen

February 08, 2019
I just love vintage kitchen utensils and kitchen wares.  You would think that  I love to cook and bake , but that is not the case. I really just like to collect them, and display them.  Like this plain wooden rolling pin. (The paint brush and paint can were placed there to keep the rolling pin from rolling .)
