I am so excited to have one of my favorite kitchen makeover projects of all time featured in Country Sampler Farmhouse Style Kitchen Makeover magazine.

Garage Sale Antique High Chair Upcycle with Milk Paint

September 02, 2020
In May of 2018, I attended a great garage sale (the first one of the season) and purchased this old high chair ($5), in addition to lots of other cool stuff  HERE. It has been waiting in my shed for an upcycle.

Vintage Wooden Spindle Chair Upcycle with Homestead House Milk Paint

January 13, 2020
This vintage chair was part of my  November finds post. I liked the lines on the chair, even though spindles are a pain in the butt to paint!

A Nordic Thrift Shop Stool Makeover and Nordic Themed Decor

November 24, 2019
This stool was one of my recent thrift shop finds.  I paid $10.  I shared it in a blog post  HERE. The tag underneath the seat identifies it as a Donie Chair Company product from 1992.  Judging by the heart stencil, I think it's from that "cutesy country" time frame.

Wood Slice/Live Edge Rustic Christmas Decor Signs

October 25, 2019
I shared these live edge wood pieces purchased at July garage sales  HERE. They are commonly sold at craft stores for wood burning art.

Antique School Desk Upcycle With Milk Paint & Stencils

May 13, 2019
I purchased this A. H. Andrews antique school desk last week at  No Place Like Home Again.

Junky Garage Drawers/Bins Get A Garden Makeover

May 10, 2019
I found three wood and galvanized garage junk drawers or nail/screw bins at our local antique/consignment shop,   No Place Like Home Again.

Farm Style Birdhouse With Red Milk Paint & Stencil Smorgasbord

May 05, 2019
Last year I purchased this wooden birdhouse for $5 at a garage sale later in the season. It was well built, and unfinished.

Paint & Stencil Your Garden Decor

May 01, 2019
I love to plant my flowers in old galvanized buckets. The buckets are practical!  They are practically indestructible to the elements, and they hold a lot of soil.  A lot of soil means that your pots won't dry out as quickly.

Chair Back Repurposed As Farmhouse Kitchen Decor

April 22, 2019
Last summer, I was given an old chair with lots of damage.   I told my husband to saw off the back, and get rid of the rest of the chair.  This long, skinny rectangular box was found at a local thrift shop. I think I paid $1.99 for it.

Garage Sale Wall Cabinet Upcycle With Milk Paint & Stencils

April 17, 2019
I purchased this rustic wooden wall cabinet at a garage sale last spring. I paid $5 for it. Even though it looks old, it's not.   It's marked on the bottom 1995 and Jack Morten, Shawnee, PA.
