Organized Clutter

When our local Menards was selling succulent plants at $3 each, I decided to plant succulents in my mop buckets this year. I have managed to evade Covid until last week.  It started with a sore throat and progressed to a cold, along with fatigue.  Just starting to perk up. The deck landscaping photo above is from this season.  One of my variegated sedums is in bloom on the right.  A few dianthus and carnations are also blooming, but the sweet alyssums are not blooming. I think insects or slugs must be eating them.

  You know how I love digging through the Target Bullseye Playground bins at the front of the store.  I found these stackable condiment bowls at the Bemidji  Target recently for $5. I am not saving them for condiments however!

One of my church friends dropped this item off at my house.  Do you know what it is?   Read on to see what it is, AND what I did with it!

  These four galvanized metal buckets were an awesome find at a recent garage sale for $1 a piece.

I found this navy blue metal decor truck at Dollar General.    I paid $10 for it.  I gave it a small upcycle with decor transfers, and placed it on my deck with a succulent!

I found this old W. H. Barber Oil Company metal wall container at the local thrift shop for $2.  It may have hung a gas station wall. I repurposed it as a great junk garden decor piece below!

 I shared two of these  floating  picture frame finds in a recent garage sale finds post  HERE. I like this type of frame as they work well for stenciling on glass, similar to an old window.

  I found this little divided, wooden drawer with knob at a local antiques/consignment shop for $5. After a scrubbing with hot soapy water, I gave the little drawer a makeover.

 Last August, I found this chef/baker outdoor plant holder at a garage sale for a dollar. He had some rust, but still had plenty of fun summer days ahead of him! Read on to see his summer job!

I've been busy moving my Mom to assisted living this past week, so I didn't get many projects done. I did manage to get to a rummage sale, and purchased this garden trowel and funnel for $1 each. They were laying right by each other on the garage table, and I got an idea...

You know what I hate?  I hate it when I discover that I didn't take a before photo of my project. I purchased this vintage soup ladle at the thrift shop.  The handle showed some age but dipper part was still very shiny metal .  

I have a couple rusty lanterns in my junk stash that have no glass globe. But, just because they are missing their glass doesn't mean that they have lost their decorative value!
