I found this $1 wooden duck plaque at a local fundraiser rummage sale. I thought it was perfect for a makeover.

Below is a compilation of some unusual junk garden planters that have appeared on my blog from my own yard and gardens, and three of my friends' gardens. I think you will enjoy all the rusty, junky goodness paired with flowers!

Welcome to my annual junk garden tour 2022 edition!   I am starting the tour at my front patio area.

  Let's take a look at the plantings AND junk decor on another corner of my deck from this season and past seasons too!

Today I'm sharing more of my current and past junk garden plantings. This area is just past my deck, towards the back of the house.  Maybe you remember this area that got a makeover just last year   HERE.

Today I'm sharing the junk gardens along the side of my deck from this year and previous blog years.

Today I'm sharing another section of my deck's current year plantings and also junk garden deck vignettes from years gone by. I try to change up my planters, plants and junk every year so my garden tour doesn't look the same.

Back in 2017, I repurposed this old barn door section into a planter box/farmhouse sign.   The stenciling had gotten fainter in the sun and elements, and instead of re-stenciling farmhouse , I decided to change it up a bit.

  This project started out with this reddish colored barn wood framed primitive country sign. I purchased it thrifting for $3.  The sign part is painted on a thin piece of board.

I saw this rustic pallet section leaning against the outdoor wall of our local antiques shop, priced at $5.   I knew that I could make it into something fun!

I purchased this rustic half section of a barn door at our local antiques shop on Crazy Daze for $13. I thought it would be the start of a fun fall outdoor DIY decor piece.

This little rusty metal folding chair was a $3 purchase at a local flea market AND one of my End of July finds  HERE.  

My neighbor gave me this old rusty birdfeeder that once belonged to his grandmother.  It's just my style! It was made by the Tunlaw Corporation.  It is now a part of MY NEW RUSTIC BIRDHOUSE display for this year.

This area, just past my deck, was overgrown with groundcovers, like sedum and creeping Jenny.  The area has always been a problem. The previous owners left part of a cracked cement patio there and put a deck over most of it.   What started out as, me planting a few thyme plants in the cracks, became an overgrown groundcover mess with weeds and grass coming up within the clumps of sedums.  Thank goodness my husband helped me on this job! I found this old, rustic, wooden toolbox at an antique shop.  It is missing a handle, but I love the rustic metal strip on each end. I thought it would make a perfect display piece for my vintage garden tools.

I found this rustic, primitive country style flower box at our local thrift shop.  It was made in China. I gave it a sophisticated new look!

I found an empty barn wood frame at our local thrift shop.  I paid $5. I had a few sheets of chalkboard purchased at Home Depot on hand, and a piece was cut to fit the frame.  I don't think Home Depot sells larger sheets of chalkboard any longer, but a thin board could have been painted with chalkboard paint and added to the frame as well. Now to make it into a great project for my  summer covered patio!

I found this wooden 19" quilting hoop at Goodwill recently. I didn't plan to start quilting!

  I purchased these three little wooden mini clipboards at Dollar Tree recently. They were $1 each, and I found them near the frame section.

I found this 3 pack of Leisure Arts burlap cinch sacks at a Walmart store recently. I used one of the cinch sacks on a new project below.
