Organized Clutter

I found this wooden chest last fall at a Goodwill in the Twin Cities. I think I paid $14.99. It appears to be be a homemade chest in very good condition.

Last weekend I attended the annual Little Falls (Minnesota) Arts & Craft Fair . It was my very first trip to the craft fair. I purchased the botanical butterfly wall art above at the fair from  Salvage Sisters - A Repurposed Store .  The panoramic style frame contained distressed paper with a bee and several different black butterflies, along with plant sprigs on the sides. The design was most likely created with rubber stamps and ink. The perimeter (mat) of the frame was created with distressed book pages, torn into varied and uneven pieces.

My friend Diane gave me this little vintage bookcase to upcycle. I gave it a makeover, and put it in my bedroom.  

  I purchased this oak, ice box style end table for $20 at a garage sale in 2021. I just gave it a makeover!

  Today is the April Thrift Store Decor Team blog hop day!  I found this table/nightstand at a thrift shop in the Twin Cities for about $8.  It may have been homemade!  Read on to see its makeover, along with seven other thrifty projects from my blogging friends.

I purchased this oak pedestal plant table/stand at a garage sale for $8. I decided to repurpose it as a martini table.

  Do you remember this little $10 thrift shop find from Goodwill in the Twin Cities? It had midcentury modern legs but was definitely very very plain.

  I have purchased two of these Simmons Vintage Wooden Folding Chairs recently.  The one that I upcycled for this blog post had a piece of chipboard on the seat as the slats were missing, otherwise it was the same as this one.  Since it was not in original condition, it was a perfect candidate for a makeover.

This item was labeled as a plant stand at a June garage sale I attended.   I paid $8 for it. 

  This old metal typing table was a 2019 find at the Littlefork Citywide Rummage Sales.   I paid $1 for it. I found it still kicking around in my shed this spring and decided to give it a makeover for my covered patio.

I purchased this little vintage table at a garage sale recently. I love upcycling old tables.   They always have some great character.

I purchased this little oval coffee table for $5 at a garage sale last summer.

In May of 2018, I attended a great garage sale (the first one of the season) and purchased this old high chair ($5), in addition to lots of other cool stuff  HERE. It has been waiting in my shed for an upcycle.

This is a little vintage table that my mother found thrifting.  The top had some finish and water damage so she had a tablecloth on it most of the time.  

 I purchased this vintage ice cream chair a long time ago at an auction. I painted the iron parts with Rustoleum Heirloom White Paint.

I purchased these two wooden folding trays at a garage sale for $1.50 each.  When I was growing up, we called these TV trays, however, most TV trays were metal.

 This vintage chair was part of my  November finds post. I liked the lines on the chair, even though spindles are a pain in the butt to paint!
