Organized Clutter

I found this unfinished wooden tissue holder recently at Hobby Lobby. I got it for 40% off the regular price.

Maybe you remember these coasters from last fall.  I found them at our local Menards.  They are still available online  HERE. I ended up creating a fall garland or banner with the coasters  HERE.

I found this Minnesota shaped cutting board at Goodwill recently.  I love finding figural cutting boards! Last Christmas, I purchased a Gnome Sweet Gnome - 1000 pc Minnesota Puzzle  that had a buffalo check border.  It took my daughter, husband and I several days to complete the puzzle, but it was fun!

  I found a pair of risers in the Target Bullseye Playground area recently. Most everything is under $5 in this section at the front of Target. The risers are also sold online (in 4 count), and the online item description states:  Add a touch of function and style to your home with the 4ct Risers from Bullseye's Playground. These risers can elevate plants or candles and highlight table centerpieces, as their neutral color would blend in easily with any decor style of your choice. I gave them an easy Christmas makeover!

  I found this wooden sled at Goodwill recently.   I gave it a makeover, along with another wooden thrifted sled below.

These two slatted, rustic board photo holders with plexiglass are Goodwill finds. Today I used the second holder in a fall project.

I picked up this old, plain, wood crate at a local antiques/consignment shop for $12. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I had no qualms about painting it because it was so plain.

I purchased this chair recently for outdoor Christmas decorating. It was extremely rustic.

I purchased this wooden wine box at the thrift shop recently.   At first, I thought about giving it a French makeover with a duck egg blue paint.

I purchased this old wooden ironing board at the antique shop last week.  I didn't get it super cheaply, but I knew it would be perfect for the project I had planned for it. My husband removed the legs.  It's really not a super easy deal to remove the legs. It involves prying the metal part off as the legs are not screwed or bolted on.

I picked up this rustic, wooden, primitive country style box at our local thrift shop a couple months ago.

This little wooden, divided box was a recent Goodwill find. The tag on the bottom said Threshold Table Organizer, so I think it was from Target.  It has metal corners and a fun metal tag on the front.

 I picked up this small decorative oar at the Bemidji, Minnesota, Goodwill last Saturday. I gave it a makeover!

I found this little  Galvanized Metal Wall Organizer   at a Hobby Lobby store in Bemidji, Minnesota.  It was on sale $3.49.  Perfect price for a DIY project.

 This vintage chair was part of my  November finds post. I liked the lines on the chair, even though spindles are a pain in the butt to paint!

 I picked up this "brand new" pastry cloth and rolling pin cover at the thrift shop a few days ago. I had an idea to turn this purchase into Valentine's Day decor.

I pulled this vintage, divided Greyhound fruit crate out of my shed a couple months ago .  I purchased it a couple years ago at a garage sale for $3-4.  Unfortunately, it was already painted red, and the label was spattered with red paint. I dragged it out of the shed with the intention of making it into Christmas decor.  It went through some trial and error, with the ends painted black and the red sides stenciled with the buffalo check stencil.  I just didn't like it.  I then decided to paint it with Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in Drop Cloth.   The red paint started bleeding through my off white paint.  It must have been milk paint or some other very porous paint.  

 I found this Home Sign at our local thrift shop recently.  It still had it's tag from Joann Fabrics attached.  It was from Joann's fall decor line 2017. I am going to give it a makeover , BUT it's not really an upcycle .  This sign is not dated, and not in bad condition.  I'm just changing it more to my style.
