I shared this child's chair in my recent thrift shop & garage sale finds post HERE.

Today, I gave it a makeover!

After washing it with Dawn Dish Soap water and a rag, I brushed on a couple coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in The Gulf.

I used my Zibra Round Brush to paint the chair.  It works great on spindles and legs.

The Gulf is a soft turquoise that is great for the coast, beach or Boho style decor.

I pulled out my Folk Art Lazy Daisy stencil and swirled it on with Fusion Mineral Paint in Raw Silk.

This is a fun stencil!  I put it on garden shovel head art HERE.

I won't be leaving this little chair outside in the elements, so I sealed the paint and stencils with Dixie Belle Easy Peasy Spray Wax.  Easy spray on, and wipe off after 15 seconds!

It sure would be cute in the garden though!

These 16 chairs received makeovers HERE.

Thanks for visiting!

  1. This is so cute! I love the color. I got an antique wood chair at a thrift sales a few years ago for only $1! You've given me inspiration to fix it up.
