Vintage Clothes Hanger/Frame Photo Display

January 21, 2022
One of my favorite older projects started out with a vintage wooden clothes hanger and an 8" x 10" picture frame.  I still like the project, but I decided to give it a small facelift.

Thrift Shop Picture Frame Gets A Farmhouse Makeover

March 02, 2020
Frames are usually abundant at thrift shops, however, many are cheap, run of the mill frames that are a dime a dozen. This little orange-y frame caught my eye recently.  I picked it up and paid $1.50.  But it needed a makeover to match my decor.

Easy & Inexpensive DIY Gift Idea For A Dog Lover

December 09, 2019
I found this package of four, round galvanized ornaments in the Christmas Craft section of a Hobby Lobby store.  I don't think they are available online.  They were priced at $3.99, but they were 50% off for the month of November. Of course I purchased them thinking of semi-homemade ornaments, but that's not what happened!

This thrifted shutter was an inside window shutter.  The kind that you put in a bathroom, and the slats open and close.    I removed the vertical wood piece that opened and closed the shutters on the back,  and glued them shut with wood glue.

I am kind of our family historian.  I have worked on family histories, and I have a lot of old family photos.  Very few of them are in picture frames.  This  Grater/Slaw Clutter with Rub On Transfers  project above is one of my recent photo display blog posts.   Below are many more of my upcycled/repurposed photo display projects!

Easy Upcycled and Repurposed Yardstick Photo Displays

March 28, 2019
I love old yardsticks.  I once used several for a frame project, and I am sorry that I did. I spotted a plain, new yardstick at our local craft shop.   It wasn't really cheaper than the older ones but I didn't have to sacrifice one of my cool yardsticks for this project.

Grater/Slaw Cutter Photo Display Ideas

February 28, 2019
Do you believe in coincidence?  I had a crazy coincidence yesterday. I picked up these Rub-On Sentiments packages at the thrift shop.  They are rub on transfer words that you rub with a Popsicle stick to adhere them to a surface. Later that afternoon, I noticed this instagram post with graters and RUB ON transfers from q is for quandie. Hmmm.  I just found those rub on transfers!
