Target Bullseye Playground Chair Shelf Upcycle

I found this little chair shelf for $5 in the Target bins at the front of the store.

I love scouring these bins for decor pieces that I can give an easy makeover.

My first step in the makeover was to paint the little chair shelf with Dixie Belle Chalk Paint in Dried Sage.

Dixie Belle's website states: "Dried Sage is a soft gray with green undertones. When you enter a room with this neutral tone, you’ll feel instantly at ease!

Use Dried Sage in your contemporary living room, modern farmhouse kitchen or French provincial bedroom. This soft color looks lovely distressed with a dark wax or paired with Drop Cloth!"

Dixie Belle Paint Company provided me with complimentary product samples. All opinions about this fabulous stencil or paint are my own.

The largest scroll-y design fit the seat of the chair!

I removed the white paper backing and began rubbing the transfer onto the chair seat.

I creased the design over the edge of the chair seat and rubbed the small curve onto the side.

I like it!

I added one of the triangular designs to the top of the chair back.

I waxed the piece with Dixie Belle's Best Dang Wax in Clear.

I found the little tulips in the Target Bullseye bins too!

The chair works on a table or shelf.

Or the chair hangs on the wall too.

  1. Very cute, Carlene. I love the color and the transfers look perfect. I think I would hang it on the wall to display little knick knacks.
