Welcome to my covered patio for 2014!  Most of the decor is vintage.

Here is the cabinet door frame that I featured in an earlier post this spring for a Junkers United round up.  A full tutorial is included in that link.

I love this galvanized tool box that I found this spring.  It's planted with coleus, and sits on top of a perfectly junky, rickety, little table I got for free from one of my junkin' friends.

My burlap chair cushions were a 2013 project with tutorial here.  My rug is an indoor/outdoor type from Sphinx.

The details on this vintage gardening crate vignette were included in a post here.

The Kampkold cooler is new on the patio in 2014, as is the picnic basket.  My collection of garden "scratchers" in the bucket continues to grow.  The old rake was a $5 purchase at a garage sale years ago.

The bird is actually a cheap dollar store decoration that rusted and weathered from spending the summers outside.

The old buggy wheel is protected from further deterioration under the covered patio.

A decorated picket fence shelf, and a pig sign that I love hang on a wall of the covered patio.

A $2 rummage sale table get up-cycled here earlier this spring.  Vintage bocce and croquet balls are displayed in the minnow bucket strainer.  The terracotta pot is planted with a Pothos vine.  This bicycle wheel has been used in my decor in several different colors, in different areas and in different seasons or holidays.

The terracotta door leads to our attached garage.

This area is just perfect for reading and relaxing.  The ceiling fan keeps it cool, and also helps keep mosquitoes away.

Thanks for checking out my summer patio!  I had lots of fun decorating it!

Thanks for reading my blog, Carlene

  1. Of course it is mostly vintage Carlene. You are the vintage queen! Love every little thing! My favs have to be the galvanized tool box, the red chest, the old rake and the geranium tins. I have to be careful about what I put out back. My pergola isn't completely covered and things will get sun faded. Even though it's on the N. I don't want to chance it with some items.

  9. What a great space! I am envious at our garden gazebo gets too wet when it rains that I can't keep anything out there on a permanent basis. Love the colors you chose as well - thanks for sharing!
