Back in March, I created this Boho style stenciled planter box with Goodwill finds, chalk paint, and a mudcloth stencil HERE.

I actually liked the finished project but I was unable to sell it at our local consignment store so I decided to give it another makeover!

The original planter box parts included this slatted sign.

And this wooden box.

I brushed Dixie Belle Chalk Paint in Barn Red almost up to the edges of the weather slats, (like I did with the black chalk paint before).

It needed two coats.

I have used this stencil multiple times on an Ironing Board TreeMini Wooden Christmas Tree Bucket, and on a Great Rustic Chair.

After the second coat of paint dried, I centered my stencil on the top of the sign board.

I pounced on the stencil using Fusion Mineral Paint in Raw Silk.

Do you notice the small triangles at the bottom of the stencil?  They are registration marks to continue the stencil.  I also pounced paint in them.

I lined the top of the trees on the triangles to continue to pattern on down the planter box back.

I also had to move the stencil from side to side to continue the pattern to the painted edges.

When the stencil was complete, I waxed the Christmas Greenery Box with Dixie Belle's Big Mama's Butta.

I filled the planter box with faux greenery and hung it outside my front door!

I think this version will sell easier!

But I probably won't sell it until next year!
