Decorating My Junk Garden Shed

Last year my potting sink got new cedar legs, as the old legs had rotted.

This year I purchased a Dollar Tree dish drainer and put it in one side of the old sink.

I put an old roaster cover in the other side of the sink.  Holes were put in the bottom of the cover for drainage.

The roaster cover fit in the sink pretty well.

I placed three china plates in the dish drainer, and planted sweet alyssum in the silverware section of the drainer.

In the roaster, I pushed an enamelware cover, a pie pan, and a wooden spoon into the dirt.  I planted a hot pink zonal geranium, a hot pink verbena and more sweet alyssum toward the front of the roaster cover. A hot pink ivy geranium is in the minnow bucket on the left, and Mini Vista Violet Star Supertunias are in the cream separator on the right.

My window screen sign above the potting bench was a project last year.

Other container plantings include an ornamental oregano, lantana, and purple wave petunias.

All of the plants need to do some growing!

I will share my shed again in my July Junk Garden Tour.

My junk garden shed was built at the end of 2016, and decorated and landscaped here in 2017.

Below are garden photos from previous years.

  1. Carlene, I love, love, love the galvanized wall flowers from a previous year. Did you make them? If so, I'd like to know what they are made of and how to do it.

Your new sink is great. I so enjoy seeing your junk gardens. Right up my alley.
