Target Bullseye Playground Riser Christmas Makeovers

December 05, 2021

I found a pair of risers in the Target Bullseye Playground area recently. Most everything is under $5 in this section at the front of Target.

The risers are also sold online (in 4 count), and the online item description states: Add a touch of function and style to your home with the 4ct Risers from Bullseye's Playground. These risers can elevate plants or candles and highlight table centerpieces, as their neutral color would blend in easily with any decor style of your choice.

I gave them an easy Christmas makeover!

Of course the risers could be used "as is", but they are made of MDF, so I decided to paint them.

I brushed on two coats of Fusion Mineral Paint in Raw Silk.

I pulled out my small Redesign With Prima decor transfer package Holiday Spirit. (The center package.)

I have really used these transfers on a lot of Christmas projects this year (and they are still not all gone)

Holiday Spirit is a three pack of  6" x 12"  decor transfer sheets.

I rubbed the wreath with tree design onto the center of smaller riser, and the other two designs onto the edges of the larger riser.  There is a rectangular stick in the transfer package for rubbing on the designs, as well as instructions.

I applied a coat of Dixie Belle Best Dang Wax in Clear to both risers using a lint free rag.

The risers are perfect for displaying mini Christmas trees and other small Christmas decorations.

I really like the risers stacked on top of each other.

Risers are a great idea to add interest to your Christmas vignettes.
