Thrifted Jar Shaped Metal Chalkboard Easel Repurposed As Laundry Room Decor

I found this metal jar shaped chalkboard easel at Goodwill. It has a jar shaped metal chalkboard with it.
I decided to paint the jar easel with Fusion Mineral Paint in Ash.

The jar shaped metal chalkboard insert had been a Trail Mix Bar sign at some point. The words did not wash off, so I painted the chalkboard with Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in Caviar.
I found this laundry stencil at a Hobby Lobby store.
I don't think it is available online, but you may find it at a store like I did. It fit the chalkboard perfectly.
I used a very dry brush that had been dipped in Fusion Mineral Paint in Raw Silk and swirled and pounced on a paper plate and a newspaper before being pounced on the chalkboard.
After spraying the piece with Dixie Belle Easy Peasy Spray Wax, I wiped it down with a lint free rag.
I also tied a jute twine string around the jar cover area.
I think this project would also make a great gift!
Even if you can't find a jar shaped chalkboard, consider stenciling another chalkboard shape with a Hobby Lobby stencil. They are small and inexpensive.
