I purchased this cutesy country snowman wall decor recently at a garage sale for 75 cents! The inserts are glass.
I gave it a garden themed makeover.

I wiped it off with a damp rag, and brushed on a couple of coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in Drop Cloth.
Now to add the garden theme!
I pulled out a brand new stencil from Old Sign Stencils, Garden Labels. This stencil is perfect for plant labels, but I used it on my garage sale piece. It's pretty versatile.

I cut my stencils apart so the rows were easier to work with and line up.
I found that I could add four herb stencils to each glass area.
I pounced on each word using Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in Caviar.
I sealed the paint and stenciling with Dixie Belle Paint Easy Peasy Spray Wax. Easy Peasy application, spray on and wipe with a soft cloth.
The sign already had a sawtooth hanger on the back.
I love decorating with faux herbs in the kitchen!
