Rustic Wooden Chair To Christmas Sweater Chair

I purchased this chair recently for outdoor Christmas decorating.

It was extremely rustic.

In fact, too rustic. And the green wasn't that great with my other outdoor decor.

I gave it a couple of coats of Fusion Mineral Paint in Bayberry.

I then pulled out my new Christmas Sweater stencil from Old Sign Stencils

Rustic Wooden Chair To Christmas Sweater Chair

The Christmas Sweater stencil worked pretty well on my chair seat, even though part of the seat was missing!

I taped it on using blue painter's tape, and pounced on the design with Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in Drop Cloth. I also stenciled the horizontal seat back slats.

I sprayed, just the seat and back slats, with Dixie Belle Paint Easy Peasy Spray Wax and wiped it with a fiber rag to protect the stenciling.
