Rolling Pin Christmas Project Featured In Flea Market Decor Magazine

November 18, 2019

On this Thanksgiving week, I am thankful for all of my blog followers.  I am so grateful that you all take the time to check out my blog posts, and/or  Pinterest, Instagram or Facebook page shares as well!

I am also thankful for being featured, from time to time, in print and online magazines.  This week I have a Christmas rolling pin project in the current issue of Flea Market Decor Magazine.  I hope you pick up the magazine that also has features from my talented, vintage, blog friends Sadie Seasongoods, and Lora B.

(When you click on the bold Amazon, Old Sign Stencils or Dixie Belle Paint Company affiliate links you will be taken to the products I use for this project. This project was shared on my blog waaaayyy back in 2014.

Here are the details from my rolling pin display project:
After having displayed my rolling pin collection in an old crock for years, I was searching the internet for another way to display them.

My inspiration for this project came from this post at Our Vintage Home Love blog.

I wasn't sure about the rough-sawn barn wood on my kitchen wall, but I had these two rustic shutters on hand.  These shutters just might work...

I laid the rolling pins out on the shutters on the floor to size it all up.

I also purchased some 99 cent door stops.

Only to find that finishing nails were much cheaper, AND much easier to hammer in on a diagonal to hold the rolling pins.  I liked the look of the nails just as well.

I liked it a lot!

The rolling pin display also morphed into an alternative Christmas tree with a few vintage glass ornaments and a star.

I have changed up the rolling pins a bit, but the display still hangs on my farmhouse kitchen wall.

Thanks for visiting!
Thanks for reading my blog, Carlene
