I picked up this old enamelware coffeepot at the thrift shop yesterday for $3. It was missing the cover.
I just love old coffeepots, and I have a lot of them.

The bottom is pretty black. I think it was a campfire coffeepot. I scrubbed the bottom with an SOS pad and Krud Kutter Kitchen Degreaser All-Purpose Cleaner.
The greasiness is all gone but not all the charring. It's a perfect piece for upcycling!

has three sheets of script transfers.
I cut out the phrases/words that fit my coffeepot and theme.
I then removed the paper backing, and very carefully centered the words on my coffeepot.
Make sure you get it on even on the first try, because it will stick to the enamelware. If you pull it up to re-position, you will likely screw up the transfer.
Directions are inside the transfer tube, as well as the stick to rub on the transfer.
Here's my black bottomed, coverless coffeepot with a succulent from my outdoor gardens.
I hope I can keep it alive inside!
I used Schultz Cactus Soil in the coffeepot.
Another word, Cafe, from the "Delicious Menu" transfer sheets has been rubbed on a thrifted enamelware pan.
This burro's tail succulent was also dug up from my outside plantings.
This garage sale coffeepot was a little trickier.
On the darker coffeepot, the transfer had visible halos around the letters that were too obvious for me. I rubbed on a very small amount of Dixie Belle Best Dang Wax in Clear.

This coffeepot will work for winter/Christmas decorating!
For my next project, I pulled out a new lace stencil I purchased from Hobby Lobby.
I taped it on the coffeepot and pounced on the stencil with Fusion Mineral Paint in Champlain.
I rubbed a "Delicious Menu" transfer on top of the stencil.
I love the shabby chic vibe with the lace stencil on a rustic coffeepot.
I stenciled "UP" on the front of this coffeepot.
