DIY Repurposed Cheese Box Becomes A Fun Coffee Themed Side Table

I found another round, wooden cheese box at a local antiques/consignment shop. This one had been stenciled with green ivy vines.

I sanded the cheese box just a bit to scuff it up, as it was quite shiny.
I then brushed on two coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in Hurricane Gray
. I distressed the cheese box lightly with 220 grit sandpaper on the edges mostly.
For all you coffee lovers out there, I used a fun new stencil today!

The stencil fit so perfectly on the cover of the cheese box.
I pounced on the stencil using Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in Drop Cloth. I then rubbed on a light coat of Dixie Belle Best Dang Wax in Clear
. I used a INTEX SUPPLY Fiber Rag to apply the wax.

I love the dark gray paint with the crisp white lettering!
This little table is perfect next to a chair to hold a beverage or a remote! (Just use a coaster. LOL!)
