Thrift Shop Christmas Makeover: Framed Stenciled Snowflakes

December 06, 2015

I purchased these 3 square frames from the thrift shop yesterday for $1.50.  I cut off the white ribbon and painted the frames with Decoart Chalky Finish Paint in Lace.

Next I painted the hardboard frame backs with black acrylic craft paint.

Next I stenciled a snowflake on the glass from each frame with white craft paint and a Show Offs snowflake stencil.

I put the painted side of the glass down so the glass can be cleaned if it get fingerprints or dust, and I tied on a strip of torn muslin to hang my frames.

This was a super easy craft.

I hung them on my chalkboard wall in my kitchen.

My framed scrabble tile tree is also in this vignette as well as my thrift shop reindeer that I painted last month.

I also added a star to my the top of my rolling pin display again this year!  It's an alternative Christmas tree!
