Re-Purposed Window Frame Earring & Necklace Holder

September 27, 2015
My youngest daughter found a jewelry holder on Etsy that she wanted to order and emailed me the photo.  I told her WE could make one just like it, or maybe even better.

I had an old window frame from a garage sale that I had purchased for 50 cents.  The size was great.
My daughter gave the frame a couple of coats of Fusion Mineral Paint in Casement.

We went to Menard's and purchased lincane radiator cover metal in gold tone and two glass knobs and four white glass knobs.  The lincane cut quite easily with a tin snips.

This type of glazier points held the metal mesh in the frame. They are easily pushed in with a screwdriver.

We added the knobs for necklace and bracelet hanging.

It was an easy project.  A little expensive as the lincane sheets are about $24 a sheet at Menard's, but I will make a few more of these to sell at my shop and recoup the cost!
Thanks for reading my blog, Carlene
