Estate Sales, Rummage Sales, and Thrift Store Shopping

September 20, 2015

I have never seen one of these before and didn't immediately find another one on the internet until I connected it with pies.  It's a vintage pie slicer/scorer.

I have seen these baby food jar organizers before.  This red metal one has one jar missing and the under the counter mount is missing as well.  I washed it all up and will use it for craft supplies and buttons, even if it has to just sit on the counter!

I found this water meter made into a trinket box at one of the sales too.  It was marked 50 cents.  My husband doesn't think it's very old.

It was well worth 50 cents.  It was full of paper clips.  I will use it on my desk.

Vintage kitchen ware from an estate sale.

I got this vintage Wagner number 3 skillet, and two vintage white bowls at the sale.

Also vintage lawn and garden tools with my favorite color red.

This small oar with a seafood restaurant menu decal at the thrift shop.

This wall cabinet from the thrift shop.

This night table or small chest at the estate sale.

I painted the little night table in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in "Country Grey".  Country Grey is my newest ASCP color.  It's a grey/beige mix.

More projects and upcycles on the way!

Thanks for reading my blog, Carlene

  5. Wow, Carlene ! Love the wall cabinet and wooden drawer chest. On the baby food jar organizer.... couldn't you find a heavy base, maybe a disk of wood or metal, then screw it on so that it's not hanging down, but standing up ? A cool find for a craft room !
