Re-Purposed Recipe Card Holder

January 15, 2015
My thrift shop repurpose today starts with this wooden recipe holder purchased at the thrift shop for $2.

I peeled the decal off of the top and removed the metal rings in preparation for painting with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White.

I added a Graphics Fairy Frame with "Le Jardin" typed inside with the Mod Podge Image Transfer Method.

Since "Le Jardin" means The Garden in French, I picked five of my 2014 garden photos and turned them into watercolors with the Waterlogue app.  Then I printed them in 3 x 5 recipe card size.

Then I punched my garden photos with a hole punch using a recipe card as a guide.
