I think this area could use a makeover!  The reproduction white enamelware tub at least kept junk organized, but is definitely not very attractive.

As luck would have it, I found this wooden second hand toilet tank shelf that fits perfectly.

It is painted with a semi-gloss white paint with gold trim.

I painted it with Annie Sloane Pure White Chalk Paint.

I distressed the paint a bit.

I added soap and Qtips to a couple of clear glass vintage jars, and arranged them on the toilet shelf, along with a spare roll of TP.

Much better!

  3. Looks good. Our toilets have the button on top, so I can't put anything on them. haven't decided if I like it or not!

  5. It looks great but what did you do with the stuff that used to be on the back of the toilet?

  8. Very pretty! I wish I could put canisters on the top of our toilet tank but with two boys, they'd definitely get broken. And we only have one bathroom. Still, I love this idea!
