A Framed Clipboard Gallery Wall

January 17, 2014
Do you remember when I framed four old clipboards?

Shortly after the framed clipboards, I put together this project with my great grandparents' wedding photo, fabric and Lartz vintage photo corners HERE.

I also re-purposed a vintage purse handle as a tea towel hanger HERE.

Then when I saw this photo in a current Pottery Barn catalog displaying a yardstick with clips (not for sale), I dug out one of my coolest old yardsticks.

First I glued four magnetic clips on the yardstick with E6000 at the 1/8, 3/8, 5/8 and 7/8 yard marks.  I also opted to hang my yardstick vertically instead of horizontally.

Here is my yardstick photo hanger next to my framed clipboards.

Next, I hung my mom's photo on another clipboard and hung my tea towel on the purse handle beside it.

I also added the framed photo of my great grandparents' wedding.

I added another frame with a smaller clipboard inside it.

This is how the left side of the gallery wall turned out.

This wall may get some additions at a later date, but for now, I am happy with it.

  2. Hi, I really like this historic wall creation and want to remember this to do with some of our historic photos. The yard stick was ingenious and like that it is hung vertically.
