Here are the items that I used to make a junk pumpkin chef:  a cloth dish towel, a pumpkin, a bucket, the top of a milk can, a white gourd, twigs, washers, nuts and an unknown metal part.  (maybe some sort of wrench)

I spray painted some birch twigs (from my yard), and the two nuts with black spray paint.

I placed the pumpkin on top of the milk can top, and nailed the nut and washers on for eyes and the unknown metal part for the nose.

I cut wire to bundle the twigs and to make a "U" shaped piece to poke into the pumpkin to attach the mustache and eyebrows.

So with the eyes, nose, mustache and eyebrows in place I set an upside down galvanized pail on top of the pumpkin.  I had dry brushed the bucket with white paint last spring. Then I set the white gourd on top of the bucket bottom.

Then I tied the dish towel on as a neckerchief.

This potting sink/bench has proven to be invaluable for outdoor decorating possibilities.  I added a kettle of more gourds, the old pump and a Turk's Turban gourd in a berry sieve.

He looks like a "Chef" if you use your imagination!
