Serenity in a Junk Garden

July 27, 2013
Back on June 19th, I shared a neutral, peaceful junk garden vignette that featured my newly found chippy barn door.

Peaceful and Neutral Garden Vignette

Now in late July, the barrels have filled in nicely.

Chippy Barn Door Under a Tree with Barrels of Sweet Potato Vine, Creeping Jenny, Bacopa, and Ponytail Grass.

Shabby Garden Crosses
Shabby crosses I made at Easter from door knob plates and an old level.  I added a metal dowel to stick the crosses in plant pots.  Shabby Chic Crosses, here.

The ponytail grass movement is so graceful in the breeze.

I think the whites and varied soft greens make a very peaceful setting in my junk gardens.

  9. Very pretty, Carlene. I am in love with that old door. Are you going to bring it inside this winter? Although it would look just as sweet with a Christmas wreath. :)

  11. Carlene everything does look so pretty. I was wondering the same thing as Vickie. Are you going to use that door and barrels for Christmas. The possibilities are endless.
