Baked Ravioli Lasagna

May 22, 2013
One of my cousins had pinned this recipe for Baked Ravioli to her Pinterest recipe board,  and I had re-pinned it to mine.

I am calling it Baked Ravioli Lasagna though, because it tastes a lot like lasagna even though it is much easier to prepare.

Baked Ravioli

I made just a few changes:

1 bag Rosetto Cheese Ravioli
1 jar Ragu Traditional Sauce
1/2 pound Mild Italian Sausage
1 small can mushrooms pieces and stems
2 cups shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Parmesan Cheese, For Sprinkling

I put the recipe together pretty much according to the recipe instructions except for adding some pre-cooked mild Italian sausage that I had in the freezer and one small can of mushrooms.  (I like to have browned ground beef or sausage in the freezer for quick meals after work)

I hadn't planned to blog about this meal or I would have used a glass pan and jazzed up the table a bit.

My quick meal included the Baked Ravioli Lasagna, cut up watermelon and French bread.

We liked it so well we are having leftovers tonight.

Thanks for reading my blog, Carlene

  3. It looks so much better than the quick microwave dinners I've been eating this week. This may be a good meal to have when the kiddos are visiting. Thanks for the recipe!

  8. Carlene, it looks super yummy. I make a Penne pasta with Italian sausage that is very similar. I am going to try this one sometime for a variation. Thanks for sharing it with SYC.
