Head Hunting

January 26, 2013
I purchased a new head vase today on Ebay for $43.99 plus shipping.

She's made by Napco and is 6 inches tall.  She is in excellent condition with no damage.

I love her eyelashes, of course, and I like that she is a neutral color.  I can place her in any occasion vignette.

She's has the sophisticated look that I love about some lady head vases.

I also put a bid on this pretty lady, but was quickly outbid.  This auction does not end until tomorrow so I could still bid.  She is currently going for $43.99.
*** Update:  This head vase went for $96, and I did not bid again.

I was also watching this pretty pink lady but she went for $96.01.  I think I can get head vases that I like under $50 now on Ebay.  Prices have fallen some.

It seems whenever I feature head vases on my blog, they get attention.

I can't wait to receive my new lady head vase.  I will watch and see how the bidding goes on the Trimont head vase auction ending tomorrow.  I will keep you posted on my head hunting...

I love all of your lovely ladies!
The one you're bidding on looks like a lady of the 50's.
You sure make me want to start a collection myself!

  4. I love head vases! Yours are gorgeous! I've seen a few at estate sales around here but they are never in good condition but priced as though they are pristine. Someday I WILL own one :-)

  5. I have a friend who has a group of these, and I remember receiving one with an arrangement the one and only time I was in the hospital. That was in the early 1970s. Funny how one remembers little tidbits like that. LOL

  6. this reminds me of the very first Barbie doll. I remember my nieces having them. I was too old at the time. Anyway, it's a cool post and would love to have you link to my party going on now. Have a good weekend. Linda

  11. Love your head vases! I would love to have just one, but I guess it might be dangerous, as I seldom stop at "one" of anything! So I guess I'll just sigh over yours. They're beautiful.
