Some of my Finds

September 15, 2012
Thrifting has been kinda slow of late. Actually pageviews on my blog are down considerably from my summer junk flower garden posts. I hope people are just busy.

Here are some finds from September:

A vintage Japan Enesco Pheasant figurine. Perfect for fall with my newly acquired pheasant oval platter.

A $1 silver plate candle stick.

Not so thrifty, but a good find. $5.95 vintage tin at the Tattered Angel Occasional Shop. (I wanted to add it to my powder tin collection in my bathroom.

Here's the new tin in the lineup on the bathroom vanity.

Hand painted Nippon flat bowl. My Mom actually gave this to me this week. She of course found it thrifting.

Two handpainted butter pats at $1.00 each. Marked with two crossed arrows. Maybe Japan.

A 1940's chalkware cat string holder. $3 at the consignment shop. (He's distressed)

A ten dollar consignment shop vintage chippy paint bookcase. Rounded front on top, grooved trim down the sides.

My mom actually found these wooden, primitive rooster figurines at the consignment shop and gave them to me. (I thought owls could be scary. These roosters are pretty stern looking too)
Two vintage wire egg separators and a wire whisk at $3 each.

That's all for now...

  7. I have a waterfall vanity that matches your bookshelf. I paid about $100 for it and saw the same one (in better condition) at the thrift store for $19.99 last week!!! Geesh. Good find on yours for only $10.

I love your distressed string holder! Perfect for fall with a roll of twine inside. And the pheasant is perfect through Thanksgiving!

  12. Carlene, You always seem to find some nice vintage pieces...yay! It's been slim pickings here for the last few months..but I don't mind. I still need to get rid of some things in the shed that got overlooked when we had the yard sale. Somehow I see a small yard sale in the near future.
