Re-Purposed Crib Rail Photo Display

March 21, 2015
I purchased this vintage crib rail with the fun plastic ABC letters for $12 at a consignment shop a couple of days ago.

First, I gave the rail a couple of coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in "Cream".

I also painted some wooden clothespins.

I distressed the piece, and then brushed on ASCP clear wax.  I glued the clothespins on the rails with Aleene's Fast Tack Glue.

Remember when I told you I was making a gallery wall in the hallway with photos displayed in unique ways?  Well, this is the first piece hung on the gallery wall.

I clipped some vintage "family" baby photos on the rail with the clothespins.  Of course I can change this up very easily.  I may make copies of any vintage originals since the photos are not protected behind glass.
Thanks for reading my blog, Carlene
