I got it for 40% off the regular price.

Back in 2015, I upcycled this thrift shop oak tissue box HERE.

I have been using this tissue box in my bathroom ever since.

I always had to find a short box of kleenex to fit inside, however lately manufacturer's have put less tissues in a box.

I decided to paint the tissue box with Fusion Mineral Paint in Raw Silk.

Unfortunately, I got some bleed through my light colored paint, so I brushed on two coats of Dixie Belle Paint Company's Boss. I let it dry overnight as suggested.  (In two coats, BOSS tackles tough set in stains including permanent marker, water stains, and much more. BOSS even masks smoke odors and nicotine smells.)

I then brushed on more Fusion Mineral Paint in Raw Silk.

I centered my Prima Marketing Redesign Stick & Style Stencil Roll in Casa Blanca Tile on the long sides of the tissue box, and swirled on the adhesive stencil with Fusion Mineral Paint in Ash.

I stenciled two tiles on the shorter ends.

I stenciled the centers of the two of the tiles on the four corners of the top of the box.

I sealed the tissue box with my Dixie Belle Easy Peasy Spray Wax.

My Kleenex box was about an inch too short for the cover so I set the tissues on a roll of tape before closing the bottom door.

I prefer the look of a decorative tissue cover to just the cardboard box on my bathroom vanity.
