I purchased this large Christmas Countdown Ornament Sign at a Goodwill in the Twin Cities.
Other thrifted items found in November were shared in a post Here.

The sign had a Kirkland's sticker on the back. It was a cute sign, but I really didn't want another Christmas Countdown Sign.
I removed the round chalkboard circle and the corrugated metal on the sign top.
I then painted the round ornament top with Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in CAVIAR
and a sponge brush.
Next, I pulled out my favorite *Old Sign Stencil, Medium Buffalo Checks.
The past two Christmases, I created a whole Buffalo Check Christmas with this stencil!
I laid the stencil on the diagonal. The ornament was just a bit too wide, so I had to move the stencil up, down, right and left to finish off the stencil pattern.
I chose Fusion Mineral Paint in Fort York Red for the checks.

I have become very good at this! Just be very careful to line the stencil up perfectly each time you have to move it over.
If you remember, I stenciled the lettering only on a galvanized bucket Here.
I stenciled the reindeer design using Fusion Mineral Paint in Champlain.![](//ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=organclutt0f-20&l=am2&o=1&a=B00O2JNZ2A)
This stencil fit the ornament perfectly!

*Old Sign Stencils provided me with complimentary samples. All opinions about these fabulous stencils are my own.
I painted the green corrugated ornament top with Dixie Belle Chalk Finish Paint in Hurricane Gray.
This sign is more my style!
One of a kind decor!
Pin for later!
