Memories of a Baby Boomer's Childhood Christmas

December 11, 2018

I am a Baby Boomer!  That means I was born between 1945 and 1964.

I was a child in the late 50's and the 60's, and I am drawn to Christmas memories of my childhood.

I found this trio of choirboys last week at the thrift shop for $3.  The trio is unmarked, and has a music box in the back, that still works.  I think they were made in Japan.

I don't always display all of my vintage Christmas figurines, but I love them all.

This Santa and his reindeer were mine as a child.  They are made by Columbia Toys, copyright 1959.  Plastic faced stuffed animals were popular when I was a child.  My children think they are scary.

I have put together a short video of the rest of collection of old toys (most of them were mine as a child) and vintage Christmas decor!

I hope you enjoy vintage Christmas decor and toys!  So simple and uncomplicated!

  1. I have the exact same Santa!! I still have the original box that it came in and I was born in 1958. I love the reindeer and have never seen them...I may have to do a search to find them now - gee thanks :) I still love my Santa although I have not gotten him out yet this year. We have a year old puppy that still like to chew!
