Thrift Shop Cutting Board Repurpose
April 13, 2017
You know I always pick up inexpensive cutting boards when I find them, and this one was no exception. It's quite plain, not very thick and when I looked at it I saw a HANG TAG.
First, I painted the cutting board with one coat of Dutch Boy Chalky Paint in Antiquated Lace. This paint is not pre-mixed. I distressed the thin coat of chalk paint with with 220 grit sandpaper.
For my stencil I chose *Old Sign Stencils "Vintage" market extension, one of my favorites. Instead of black craft paint I used Delta Creative Ceramcoat Acrylic Paint in Assorted Colors (2 Ounce), 02024 Walnut
Noyer.
I sealed my "hang tag" with Varathane 262075 Half Pint Clear Matte Finish Soft Touch Polyurethane

To finish up the hang tag I added jute twine.
A very easy re-purpose project!
*Old Sign Stencils provided me with complimentary samples.
All opinions about these fabulous products are my own.
