Garage Sale Table Chalk Paint Makeover

March 23, 2015

I purchased this little accent table last Saturday at the neighbor's garage sale for $5.

I gave it a couple of coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in "Duck Egg Blue" this morning.

I wet distressed the table edges and the top with a damp Dawn Dish Soap scrubby and a damp paper towel.  You have to be careful when using a scrubby as it takes the paint off fast, especially when damp.  I use the scrubby first along the edges and then wipe with my paper towel to see how much paint I removed.

This is a close up of the table edges after wet distressing.

It's an unusual little accent table, but I like it!
