Funnels Re-Purposed as Fall Cornucopias
October 06, 2013
Do these look like cornucopias to you? They do to me.
I started my fall cornucopia vignette with an old Coke crate. I put a layer of books on the bottom to raise up the contents, and then added a layer of Dollar Tree raffia.
I placed the funnels in the center of the crate with flexible ends hanging over the edge of the crate.
The rest was easy, just filling in the funnels and the crate with pinecones, faux berries, faux leaves, and real mini pumpkins and gourds.
Here is my re-purposed funnel cornucopias on my coffee table.
So now can you imagine funnels as cornucopias?

I like the funnel idea.
ReplyDeleteI think I may just have the perfect funnel for this project... don't be surprised if you see a copy of it on my blog...you know, flattery and all! :)

Clever idea again, Carlene! You should be designing store window displays. :)
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, cute. This is so clever. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteThe funnels make perfect sense as cornucopias. Vickie is right - someone needs you to do store displays!
ReplyDeleteYep...of course I LOVE this!! Already pinned it :)
ReplyDeleteWell I'm in Halloween mode, so those funnel tails look like something creepy to me, but they still make darn cute cornucopias.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! Darling! Are the ends flexible enough to wind into a "curlycue"? That would further the cornucopia look. I love how it all came together. I need to go look in my garage as I think I might have one of those type of funnels myself! LOL! Great job! You are SO creative!
ReplyDeleteWell of course I can...now that you show me the way!
ReplyDeleteSuch an awesome idea that I went off and pinned it and forgot to leave you a comment!
ReplyDeleteCarlene this looks amazing. I really love what you did here!!
