I purchased this shelf at the consignment shop several years ago. It was painted a dark green shiny enamel.
I painted the shelf with Rustoleum American Accents in "Heirloom White". I used the shelf on my mantel for the display of bone china teacups and saucers.
Fast forward to 2016, and my shelf gets another makeover. I painted the shelf with Fusion Mineral Paint in "Algonquin".
I distressed the edges of the shelf lightly with 220 grit sandpaper. I then stenciled fleur de lis on the top with my new Andy Skinner stencil. I love the gray and the neutral colors of the knick knacks.

Love both makeovers.
ReplyDeleteBoth are so pretty! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove your second makeover. something about gray I think is softer than white.
ReplyDeleteI love both makeovers! Can't decide which I like better - they're both beautiful in their own unique way!
