Two New Projects with Rustic Coat Hooks

Rustic Kitchen Sign with Hooks & Old Sign Stencils
I got a few great weathered boards from my Junkin Friend Jodi, with the idea in mind to make a sign with rustic hooks and a rustic drawer handle, and Funky Junk Donna's  fun "Farmers' Market" stencil from the Old Sign Stencil Line   I used her stencil with white acrylic paint and a pretty dry bristle type stencil brush, with a pouncing action.

I then brushed on a coat of water based "Polycrylic" protective finish in satin.  This also darkened the wood and made the white lettering pop.

The cutting board/biscuit cutter pot holder project on the left is now for sale at my shop as well as this sign with hooks.

Rustic Water Ski Hat/Coat Rack
Another project I finished and brought to my shop is this old water ski with chippy white and blue paint, also with added rustic hooks.

Since this "White Bear" brand ski had very chippy paint, I squirted some Fusion Tough Coat Sealer on a paper plate and brushed it over the top and sides of the ski.  This also darkened the wood and kept the paint from peeling and chipping any further.

I added four rustic hooks and another odd hook that I had in my stash.

Rustic Water Ski Hat/Coat Rack
This water ski coat/hat rack would be great at a lake home or cabin for towels, life preservers, boat cushions, or even jackets
