In June, my junk is very visible in my front yard border.  But, as the flowers fill in, they take center stage as the stars, and the junk pieces become supporting actors.

Even though I have flowers and junk in other spots in my yard, my front yard garden border is the most loved and most notable area in my yard.

I have a skeleton of dependable perennials that anchor the garden, returning every year, along with changeable planting of annuals and cool junk.

This is the far left side of my front yard garden border...

I used to depend on sweet alyssum at the front of my border, however, I find that red Lanai verbena and white MegaCopa are both more interesting and better bloomers.

I plant Marguerite Butterfly Daisies in this border every year.

The funnels contain red lantanas and white bacopa.

Just a week after planting the flowers are already filling in nicely.

My wheelbarrow's round tub is planted with nicotiana and blue arrows rush.  Nicotiana is one of my favorite underused annuals.

The smaller cream separator is planted with two Mandeville Crazytunias and Mysty Blue Salvia.

Tall Benary Zinnias have become my go to tall annuals for filling in around the perennials in the back rows of the border.

One of the Diascias in the kettle hanging on the sawhorse died, and I replaced it with a Euphorbia.

More underused annuals I like here, Alaska Nasturiums and Heliotrope.

I hope you join me for the July garden tour and see all the perennials in full bloom!

The right side of my border has three Vanilla Butterfly Marguerite Daisies.

I love them in the border.  Non stop blooming.

I thought my red monarda had died over the winter but it has started filling in the area between the astilbes and verbena.
