Patriotic Junk Garden Vignettes

Red White & Blue Junk Garden Vignette www.organizedclutter.net
I just picked up the blue gas can last weekend at an estate sale for $1.  The red and blue gas cans reminded me that I had a red, white and blue license plate that I had purchased last year.  Red iron stars were added with magnets along with a Kmart Fourth of July flag.

My fuchsias are starting to fill out, but it is still early here in northern Minnesota.

The rock and metal rooster is new this season.  I purchased it at a local garden shop.  I have had the wooden slat flag for several years.  I think it's great on my chippy picket fence section purchased last year.

This flower bed has a lot of sedums and thymes and low growing ground cover perennials.  I have calibrachoa in the top of the chicken feeder, and hen and chicks in the bottom.

I love decorating for the Fourth of July!
Thanks for reading my blog, Carlene

  3. Love your garden! I have a question, though. Do you coat any of your wooden pieces to protect them from rain and sun exposure or just let nature do it's thing?
