I have seen birdhouses attached to the tops of shovel handles on Facebook or Pinterest or maybe both.  I thought it may be fun to use this old garden fork and birdhouse for a container planter.


2015 Potting Bench and Patio

I am sitting back on the covered patio looking left at my little weathered garage sale outdoor table and chairs, antique dough riser with red geraniums, and outdoor throw pillows from Menards.  The pillow pattern matches my covered patio Adirondack cushions.  (Not like me to be that matchy!)


A New Look On My Covered Patio

Here is my covered patio from 2013.  The Adirondack chairs had an exterior stain, burlap covered cushions and sat atop a floral rug. Because of my terracotta exterior accent color my rug had some orange flowers.


Authentically Chippy Distressed Adirondack Chair with Fusion Mineral Paint

Who doesn't like the look of a chippy white picket fence?  My project today with Fusion Mineral Paint features one of my patio Adirondack chairs painted in "Casement" white.   Casement is a warm white, but not too creamy.  My wet distressing technique on the chair's slats reminds me of a chippy white picket fence!

Sewing Machine Drawers Re-purposed As Plant Holder

I purchased these two vintage sewing machine drawers at the consignment shop  recently for $10.  Usually these drawers are just sold individually, but these two came with part of the sewing machine cabinet.
