Re-purposed Garage Sale Pizza Peel & Other Re-Purposed Cutting Boards

April 02, 2015
A couple weeks ago I purchased this pizza peel or board at a neighborhood garage sale.  I paid $2 for it.

I painted the pizza board with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in "Cream".

The plan was to go to the Dollar Store and buy a cheap pizza pan.  Unfortunately, they only had 12" pans that were too big for my pizza board, so I went to Menard's and purchased a 10" damper set.

I took the hardware off the metal circle.

After distressing and waxing the board with clear wax, I screwed the round metal disk from the damper set onto the pizza peel.

At Ben Franklin, I purchased these wood circles and scrapbooking pizza stickers.

I painted the wooden circles with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in "Cream" and added the stickers.  I had to trim the round ones down just a bit to fit.  I then added a magnet to the back of the circles with hot glue.

What a great place to keep pizza coupons!  Or photos or messages too!

If you can find a cheap pizza pan (that magnets will stick to) this project would be much easier!
