Re-Purposed Mail Organizer Napkin Holder

February 13, 2015
If you remember in my last post, I re-purposed the back of this wooden pig mail organizer into a photo display clipboard.

That project was here.  Many of you liked, and left nice comments on this project.

But, some of you wondered what was to come of the three cute little pigs from the mail organizer.

Two of the pigs received a couple of coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in "Pure White".

Here is a recent thrift shop purchase, a wooden tulip napkin holder.

First I traced the back of the pigs' backs on the napkin holder and sawed along the line.

Then the tulip napkin holder was painted in Annie Sloan "Pure White" as well.

The pieces were then distressed with sandpaper.

Next I added the script on the pigs' backs from this Graphics Fairy image with Mod Podge Image Transfer Method.

The pigs were nailed onto the napkin holder with two big headed tack type nails.

I dabbed just a bit of paint on the nails but I love the rustic feel of the nails.

My farmhouse style pig napkin holder is complete.  And, there you have two of the three little pigs!  The last pig is coming soon!
