Rustic Upcycle: They're Not Your Grandma's Mail Organizers Anymore!

August 31, 2014
I love to find cheap thrift shop items to up-cycle! Like this 1970's colonial styled mail organizer, complete with metal eagle (and I think, a cobweb in there too).  This was one dollar.  I have seen many similar mail organizers.  $1 at the thrift shop.

Salvaged Drawer Pull Wall Art Tutorial

August 10, 2014
My Junkin' Friend Jodi  is always up-cycling furniture for her shop, No Place Like Home Again, so she always has old drawer pulls and hardware on hand.  Old metal drawer pulls are like mini works of art, so why not frame them?

An Old Suitcase with Old Clothes

August 08, 2014
I like the look of decorating with vintage suitcases , but I never find reasonably clean and non-smelly ones at a good price.

Yard of Flowers: A Garden Island

August 03, 2014
I have shared my sister in law's awesome gardens before on my blog.  She is a garden junk artist, with a very green thumb.  If you took the Yard of Flowers 2013 Garden Tour , you will likely remember this fun old rusty gear.
