New (Old) Finds

April 23, 2013
Here's what I have found thrifting and junking lately...

An old breadboard with a great vintage patina for $2.  The sales lady said to me, "I wouldn't cut bread on it".  I won't either but great for display!

Robinson Ransbottom, aka RRP Roseville Pottery Co. 6" pitchers.  These were $5 each.

A cool blue enamelware saucepan or maybe top to double boiler. $3.  Potential garden junk planter.

An enamelware funnel.  $6.  I have a thing for funnels too lately.

Another old masher $7.  Great for vignettes!

A hand embroidered tea towel.  I paid $10 for this at an antique shop.  I collect oil lamps so I had to have it.

There's my loot!

Thanks for reading my blog, Carlene

  5. Great "loot"!!

That is the top of a double boiler. Too bad you don't have the bottom. It is so cool looking!

  7. Don't you love it when people you are buying from have no idea what a treasure they have. When I recently bought the wooden pants hangers the lady said she was so glad to get rid of those things. And today I just saw someone had hung a needlework sampler on one. That towel is so pretty. I think I would frame it.

  16. You did good Carlene ... great loot !!! Be careful, collecting mashers and cutting boards can become addictive. I know ... I have a large collection of both. That cutting board has a great shape. Thanks for sharing.
    Hope Spring has arrived there.
