Nostalgia Day 4: Pincushions

October 04, 2012
As a vintage lover, I have a lot of collections. I don't collect pincushions but I have two old pincushions that I just love. They are perfect on my Grandma's vintage treadle sewing machine.

Worn metal finish and worn velvet.

Pincushions, no woman of yesteryear would be without one or more!

You have so many neat olden things.
I love your pin cushions..and those olden glasses in the cute container. I also love your black wall phone.
Boy, I sure would like to come see you sometime for a tour of your home with all these neat collections.:)If you'll let me come, I'll bring an apple cake. :)) (they are on my mind 'cause I made one last night).

  4. Pini cushions were a huge part of my childhood because my mom and aunt made our clothes and the sewing machine was always out and the little tomato pin cushion was just a daily sight. Love the memories associated with them.

  5. My gram had a treadle sewing machine too. And although she sometimes used her fancy electric model, she often retreated to the basement to use the treadle instead.
    I live those pincushions!
